What if, instead of criticizing our bodies, we’d honour them, with an ode, that goes something like this:
I love you. You move me. You carry me. You dance me. You feel for me. You laugh for me. And cry for me. You love for me. You express for me You feel the deepest sorrows, and the highest joys for me. You watch for me Meet for me. Connect for me. Kiss, embrace and comfort for me. You caress for me. You make love for me. You desire and lust for me. You arouse and satisfy for me. You birth life, feed babies, dry tears, and kiss bruises for me. You get drunk for me. Eat delicious food for me. You deserve the kindest words, the tenderest of touch, the best food, the freshest drinks, the softest beds, the cleanest air, the greatest respect.
I bow to you,
With gratitude,
Your Soul
